Style	In 1990 Canadian cyclist Steve Bauer rode into the Yellow Jersey in the most famous bike race of them all the Tour de France. This is a faithful recreation (just a little bigger so I can ride it) of that very bike that carried him into the lead. Finished in the famous American "7-Eleven" Team Colours the metallic flake green and red paint looks amazing immaculately presented on the Eddy Merckx corsa Extra Frame with top of the range Columbus SLX Tubing. This was also a first for the famous component manufacturer Shimano with the very first use of the now familiar "STI" Shimano total Integration combined brake and gear levers. the ability to change gear without having to reach down was a game changer and a point in the evolution of the racing bike from which technology never turned back. This was also the first use of the Shimano Hyperglide technology which added ramps to the cassette sprockets to allow the chain to climb from one cog to another quietly and seamlessly. a huge improvement from the previous Uniglide models of the year before.
