The Officina Battaglin brand was founded by Giovanni Battaglin, the Italian ex-rider who achieved the Giro d'Italia-Vuelta a Espana double in 1981.
Right after his most successful season as a pro, Giovanni started his own bike workshop. As a bicycle maker, he built custom steel bikes for some of the greatest champions of the 80s and the 90s.
