Nick Craig Visit!

Pinarello Bikes Now Available!
We are pleased to announce that for 2008 we shall be stocking a number of Pinarello racing bikes. We have just received our first delivery for 2008 which included a CX cross bike and FP5 road bike. To take a closer look at these new additions to the shop just click on the Pinarello logo.

Ridgeback Scoot bikes now available!
Designed and created by Ridgeback the Scoot bikes are a fantastic way to teach your child how to balance on a bike and once going there will be no stopping them. Unfortunately there isn't an adult version yet but are spies at Ridgeback say it's on the drawing board. We have just received a few new additions to our current Wilier range in the form of a new 2008 Escape with an upgraded Xenon chainset at £699.00, an Evasion in the new Lampre colours at £999.00 and a Mortirolo carbon, equipped with Veloce at £1249.00. Giro Ionos Helmets now in stock!!
As used by road racing teams like Rabobank and Discovery the Ionos helmet is Giro's latest offering to the world of road racing. Lighter than its predecessor the Atmos helmet the Ionos offers the rider more ventilation and a more extensive carbon fibre internal safety cage. The Ionos helmet is currently available in store in Red and white for £129.95.

Wow what a week!!
It has been all go this week in the shop. Steve has been away with team rider Caroline Gammel at the British Track Championships. Ben our instore Triathlon Guru raced the first of the National Cyclo Cross trophy series in Abergaveny Wales. Meanwhile the shop team have been busy unpacking all the sparkly new 2008 bikes from Scott, Ridgeback and Bianchi as well as the New Giro helmets. So be prepared for lots of juicy updates over the next few days.

The Scott Plasma is back and looking better than ever. For 2008 the Scott Plasma LTD sports a white and nude carbon tribal paint finish. We have just received our first drop of Scott CR1 road bikes for the 2008 season and we are expecting the new CR1 Plasma LTD later this week. We have also just received are first wave of 08 Sportster's and two Scott Carbon Scale's for those of you that fancy a bit of the Extreme.

Yes lightning struck Elmy Cycles this week in the form of the stunning Colnago C50 lightning. Designed by Italians and built by Elmy Cycles mechanics this new addition to the shop comes equiped with a Centaur groupset, Zonda wheels and ITM carbon Bars and stem. For a closer look click here.

Blackburn lights lighting up your ride. With the nights drawing in it is time again to get those lights out. Blackburn has launched a fantastic new range for 2007 that will ensure you can see exactly where your going and people can see you. The Quadrant front light has a two super-bright white LED's with projector optics plus an additional two super-bright wide beam side LED's that ensuring side on illumination. The rear light the Mar 2.0 and the smaller brighter Mars 3.0 have optically enhanced super-bright red LED's which are side mounted giving 180 degrees of visibility. Scott launches three fantastic new bikes. Last weekend sales staff Dan Strain and Andrew Chaplin along with team rider Ben Spashett attended the Scott 2007 Bike launch in Reading at the very impressive Basildon house. They viewed and played with the latest offerings from Scott. There are now three new ranges for 2007. The first introduced was the cyclo-cross range as used by the Scott pro squad including Nick Craig who was on had to add first hand advice on how effective the new bikes are. The second new range is the must raved about Spark range which offers the lightest and most agile mountain bike in the WORLD. With three adjustable ride settings and multi adjustable near shock this bike can do anything you through at it off road. The peseta de résistance however was the introduction of the new Addict road performance range. The lightest fame in the World at 790 gram/1.74lbs this bike just blows you away when you see it. Pull up in a crowd of cyclists and they are guarantied to have their breath taken away. Ben spent about half admiring it along with the Scott reps. It's just that impressive.
